Learning Patience

I have always lived in the moment. While I had the patience for the big picture, I found it hard to wait for day to day things. This immediacy came through in my need to be productive and to work harder than everyone else. I needed to set these insanely short turnaround times for myself. My lack of patience often made me come across as insecure, and/or bossy. I have learned that while it is important to work harder than everyone else, I need to know that I cannot demand the level of perseverance I have. I also learned that I could not persevere at the cost of the success of my bigger plan. In short, learning patience is about your whole life and being okay with what you have until you accomplish what you want. Being confident in yourself and your work is the first step to accepting what you need to do to get better.
